Cool 360 Sites

Hey if you're slightly bored here is a cool site to check out
www.360voice.com. This is a kind of weird but wonderful site. One of those when, if you have nothing to do, you can check up on. 360 Voice is basically a blog that your 360 writes to you! So say you play on COD4 for an hour and get 20 Gamerscore the blog will say something like, Jimmy player on Call Of Duty 4 For an hour and got an awesome 20 Gamerscore. I mean yeah pointless, but, nether the less cool. Also it shows some other cool sites. one of them would be www.mygamercard.net. Also check www.gamevee.com or www.geevee.com , I think there the same site, but unfortunately over the past few months, the service called Grab, which allowed you to rip videos from your Halo 3 Fileshare has mysteriously disappeared, but still check it out, something good might happen.

Quick note about AOL

Sorry about spelling mistakes before.

Just like to point out you would be better off upgrading to Wireless like I did, Cheaper, better. Makes the AOL 9.0 VR software useful. Thanks.

Xbox 360 AOL Connection Resolved!

As you may or may not know it can seem almost, impossible, to connect to Xbox Live using a wired AOL Broadband connection. Well if you have a modem that is. Based on my research there are very few routers able to be compatible with AOL. This is due to the fact that AOL's software, AOL VR 9.0 or just AOL 9.0, is terrible. There is pretty much a 99.9% chance it will stop you from signing on at two locations, So routers are pretty much a no go. Well unless of course you waste your time and money calling AOL, and asking them if there are any routers that work. Through a guy down at Curry's he told me that the router that did work was a NetGear. I'll try and find out which one later on but for now it's just a NetGear. So this is the post I've deciated to showing you how to set up xbox live with AOL and a BT Voyager 190 Modem. Picture below the 190 is and probably will always be known as the most pointless modem ever for using XBL (shortened abreviation for Xbox Live). But still I must go on. Basically this is how it will work. Connect your grey ethernet cable that comes with the Xbox in to the yellow port on the modem, then connect the grey cable into your Xbox. Now go across the dashboard to settings, pitctured right, now next go from the settings down to network. Once on network find the 'enter settings' option, although I don't think its called this. Now set all basic3 settings to automatic and then go across to additional settings. Now it will come up with PPPoE. PPPoE stands for Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet for the more technically minded. Once you've found this option you must click on it and enter your AOL Screenname, for example MbbbMard@aol.com (P.S I don't know whose e-mail address this is but its not mine) and then type in your password. There's no need to put in the ISP. Then test your connecion, If it has worked it will tick all the boxes, if it hasn't there's one other thing you could try. You might have to enter your IP Settings, Subnet Mask, Gateway and Primary and secondary DNS server numbers. For your IP address you can use http://www.ipchicken.com/ or simply have a serch around in your taskbar on your PC click the AOL logo>System Information>Connectivity (I think) and it list's all your stuff. Also remeber to sign off AOL when connecting to XBL because, of course, on AOL you can only be signed on in one location.

Good Luck!

New Game : Battlefield Bad Company

Yes so here begin the reviews

So it's sorta hard to review a game that has not yet been released, but I'll take from the produces, which happens to be EA and hope there right.

So the game it's self is set to be like most the other FPS's out at the moment, also by the looks of things, the successor to Battlefield 2. It involves simple shooting game play and so far a new sort of match type. Released news is that there will be a online mode where you will have to teams fighting it out to see who can get the most gold bricks. Also another new thing, the game itself uses the DICE frostbite engine, this is the reason why the game is set to be like no other, well no other that was good anyway, because now you can actually destroy houses yes by shooting a grenade launcher at a wall it will actually make a hole for you to lets say snipe out of, so I reckon a lot of people are going to snipe on this game. The game it's
self on campaign will, again, apparently consist of four main characters,
with the usually characteristics, the nooby rookie, the shouting one, the crazy one who blows EVERYTHING up and the smart one that no one ever listens to. It is said that the levels take between 1 and 2 hours, so let's Hope threre is a lot of gamer score involved then. The different classes will be like most other games Assault, Recon, Demolitions, so on and so fourth. There has so far been announced that there are three levels all Ascension an eastern European mountain village, Harvest Day a large open field and Oasis which is well, just, big. The only bad point I can find about this game is the fact that players have to purchase the weapons with there own money, all though apparently there are five promotional codes which allow you to unlock five weapons at a web page called www.findallfive.com , but I haven't tried this so you can. so anyway I know that in English currency this game for the 360 will be £39.99, so if you're interested visit www.amazon.co.uk
